Alliance member, Western Sydney University, will introduce “Sustainability: Think, Care, Do” this March to our members. Developed by WesternX, this online course aims to develop sustainability thinking skills, values, conversations and knowledge enabling participants to be the change they want to see in the world. In completing this course, participants will become part of a global learning community of like-minded peers, learn more about the SDGs and receive a digital micro-credential from Western Sydney University.
“Sustainability: Think, Care, Do” will introduce learners to the building blocks for sustainability and unpacks the driving concepts of the Anthropocene, including resilience, sustainable development, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 agenda (SDGs). Learning also covers the critical, reflective capabilities, systems and complexity thinking needed to understand global issues and enable us to work towards a better future.
Whether participants are situated in Australia or anywhere across the world, this short course is open to international students and partners of our Alliance. The structure of the course provides self-paced flexibility with two live workshops planned to connect with their peers.
“Sustainability: Think, Care, Do”, which follows our first successful “Collision” micro-credential program also offered by Western Sydney University, is generously offered free of charge in 2023. Upon completion of the course. participants will receive a branded micro-credential from Western Sydney University.
