Université du Québec à Montréal is a public university in Montreal, Canada. As a French-speaking university, the university is the largest university in the system of Quebec universities. On April 4, 1969, the university was formed through the merger of several colleges. The university has a total of 43,000 students and consists of six schools - arts, education, communication, political science, law, science and social sciences with an additional school under its management. Its innovative research methods are unique in Canada and North America.
