On September 26th, Padova meets Guangzhou was held in the Bo Palace Auditorium of the University of Padua in Italy.
Professor Rosario Rizzuto, President of Padua University, Professor Qu Shoubing, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangzhou University, Mr. Arturo Lorenzoni, Deputy Mayor of Padua Municipal Government, Mr. Fabrizio Nicoletti, Head of Creative and Research, Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Counselor Luo Ping of the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in Italy, Consul Guan Haibo, Consul General of the Consulate General in Milan, and the representatives of the teachers and students of the University of Padua and representatives from all walks of life in Padua attended the celebration.
Professor Rizzuto, President of the University of Padua, said that the University of Padua and Guangzhou University have achieved fruitful cooperation in the past ten years. On the basis of renewing the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two universities this year, the project agreement (CIPAR) of the Sino-Italian International Research Center for the Protection of Historic Buildings and Cultural Heritage was signed. The establishment of the center will allow the cooperation between the two universities to enter a new stage, which will effectively enhance the academic influence of the two universities.
